CYCLADES

ANDROS

Walking Holiday in Andros

Andros, the green jewel of the Cyclades, is a walker’s paradise. Ancient stone paths wind through olive groves, past Byzantine towers, and along valleys filled with citrus trees and natural springs. Whitewashed villages emerge from lush hillsides, leading down to secluded beaches where the Aegean sparkles in every shade of blue.

Our journey begins in elegant Chora, where neoclassical mansions meet narrow alleys and lively squares. Each day, we set out on foot to discover a different side of the island — from the crystal waters of Gialia to the panoramic views above Korthiou Bay, and the shaded gardens of Menites. The trails are varied, blending cultural heritage with stunning nature, and there’s always time for a swim or a long lunch in a family-run taverna.

We stay in a boutique hotel with views over the town and sea. Breakfasts are homemade with local produce, enjoyed by the pool before heading out. Evenings are free to explore Chora’s charm, or to join the group for dinner under the stars.
Andros is more than beautiful landscapes. It’s a place where tradition lives on, where
ancient paths whisper stories of the past, and where every day offers a new discovery — whether it’s a Byzantine ruin, a lemon-scented valley, or the warm welcome of a village square.

Good paths, good food, and good company — all on an island untouched by mass
tourism.
